A surprise around every corner...literally

At many building corners in ancient well-established towns like Nuremberg, there are statues or gilded decorations that make you look up. This one pictured here is one example of a knight who defeated a dragon, but in Bavaria especially, there are many statues of the Virgin Mary due to the large Catholic population in the area.
