Silver Tomb of Saint John Nepomuk

Saint John Nepomuk is a legendary figure during the 1500s, and statues commemorating as a Czech martyr are found all over Prague. He was confessor to the queen, and after after his body thrown into the river after his death, it washed up miraculously during a flood a year later. The queen ordered the construction of probably the most ornate tomb in the world today. He also has a place along the famous Charles Bridge, but this 2 metric ton tomb inside St. Vitus's Cathedral is absolutely incredible. Fun fact: after 300 years of having the tomb sealed, his fleshy tongue was found still preserved inside the tomb.
