Pictured here is the famous Courtroom 600 where the Nuremberg Trials took place, led by the Allies. From 1945-1949, German Nazis were prosecuted for war crimes here by the International Military Tribunal. If you've seen any of the countless movies about the Nuremberg Trials, then you've seen this courtroom. The first to be prosecuted were given the most severe sentences, since punishment became more lenient later on and eventually Nazi persecution ceased. Infamous criminals such as Göring, Bormann, and Ribbentrop were found guilty and hanged. Today, the courtroom is still used for murder trials.
